Legendary Pakistan cricket player Younis Khan has appealed to Indian batting ace Virat Kohli to travel to Pakistan and take part in the next Champions Trophy 2025. Pakistan is scheduled to host the tournament, however given the BCCI's strong stance against sending their players to Pakistan, the inclusion of the Indian squad is yet unknown.
According to Younis, Kohli's sole remaining benchmark in his remarkable career is to visit Pakistan and play there. Kohli never played in Pakistan with the senior Indian national team, even though he went there with the India U-19 squad in 2006.
Still, Kohli has played Pakistan in several ICC events and owns a remarkable record against the arch-rivals.
"Virat Kohli yahan ayein aur aake wo waise hi perform kare. Ek feather reh gaya hai nahi khela unke career mein ki unhone Pakistan. Agar wo aayenge toh hum sabko bohot acha lagega (Virat Kohli should come to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy, it's our hope also. Younis told News24, "I believe Kohli's career still has one visit to Pakistan and performance remaining.
Since 2012, India has not conducted any bilateral cricket series with Pakistan following Pakistan's short visit for a limited-overs series. Furthermore, the two countries have not participated in a Test series since Pakistan's 2007 visit of India.
Even India's participation in the Champions Trophy is on tightrope with rumors of Men In Blue seeking to play their matches outside Pakistan.

The PCB has left the ICC with the task of convincing the BCCI to bring their squad to Pakistan for the next Champions Trophy. The event is scheduled for the first months of the next year.
According to a PCB source, the money for the Champions Trophy was authorized during the most recent ICC meetings in Colombo, although the tournament's schedule and structure were hardly addressed at all.
"The PCB presently hosts the Champions Trophy and has behaved as expected of hosts. Along with a budget for the event, a PCB insider added, it has sent the draft schedule and format for it.
"It is now up to the ICC how quickly they circulate, debate and ratify the Champions Trophy schedule. According to the PCB for the draft schedule, all of India's games should take place in Lahore including a semi-final (should India qualify) and final." He added.
