Shami replaces Bumrah, India demands victory for Nepal for Super 4

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and was chosen to play against Nepal. It was the first international match between the two teams in the rain in Pallekele. When Rohit announced his decision to incorporate Nepal, the drizzle had returned. It also rained the day before the match, forcing the Nepalese players to train indoors.

Nepal captain Rohit Paudel two days after turning 21 against the Indian Stars, has called it the "best day" for Nepalese cricket. They also made a change: Bhim Sharki replaced Aarif Sheikh.
